When you first happen upon it, Ben’s Market is an unremarkable shop. At least, it seems that way until you talk to the people inside. No fewer than three people struck up a conversation with me the day I was there, and as evidenced by the signage throughout, this place is as friendly as it comes. Get all your basics at competitive prices here, but pay particular attention to the prepared foods. The Brisket is well-known throughout the neighborhood for being extra special.
