What began as a product stand in Queens is now a beloved Staten Island grocery store. Though these shops are decidedly Italian, you can also find great produce, everyday groceries and fresh baked goods here. Locals love the selection of prepared foods, made in-house, and the well-stocked deli counter, especially. To me, Top Tomato wins the award for Best Grocery Store Mascot for its peppy crown-wearing tomato guy.
